What is TB 500?

TB 500 is a naturally occurring peptide that is also available in synthetic form from trusted research chemical suppliers. TB 500 is also known as Thymosin Beta 4 (TB4), and it is a peptide found in almost all body tissues which helps with healing and regeneration. Similar to BPC 157, TB 500 has been shown to aid in injury or burn healing, and inflammation. Available research suggests that TB 500 works via blood cell and blood vessel development (angiogensis), cellular differentiation, and cell migration. This peptide helps regulate actin, which is a protein used in the development of cells that is heavily recruited at sites of injury, trauma, and inflammation.

The Thymus gland is where TB 500 is produced in mammals. High concentrations have been found in blood platelets and in the fluids that exist around injuries, wounds, and trauma.

Important note: TB-500 is on the WADA (World Anti-Doping Agency) prohibited substance list for competition athletes.

TB 500, Thymosin beta-4 Chemical Structure

TB-500 Background

In addition to being available as a research and analytical chemical, TB 500 is also used in veterinary science and veterinary medicine, specifically for conducting clinical trials on horses. Horses frequently suffer from overuse injuries in their joints, so TB 500 has shown promise in helping treat these ailments. These horse studies began in the 1960’s by Doctor Allan Goldstein who also developed Thymosin Alpha-1 for immune system modulating effects.

The application of synthetic TB 500 in humans didn’t surface until 1974 who had a Thymus gland deficiency. Since then, the interest in TB 500 has grown significantly for injury healing and other benefits.

TB 500 Dosage

Based on available research and anecdotes, TB 500 appears to show promise in the range of 5mg to 20mg weekly. Due to its relatively long half life, it seems to perform best when taken in 3 doses across the period of each week.

In summary, Tb 500 modulates the effect of actin protein in the body. This helps accelerate healing and regeneration of tissues, particularly after injury or trauma. TB 500 also promotes angiogenesis, or the formation of new blood vessels, and helps build blood cells. Furthermore, TB 500 has positive effects on inflammation.

Due to TB 500’s ability to systemically distribute in the body, it can be beneficial locally and systemically. There are also reports of TB 500 improving hair growth and quality, but further research is needed.

Given the actions of TB 500 in the body, it accumulates in injured tissues. Administering added therapeutic amounts of TB 500 has been demonstrated to aid in the healing of tendons, ligaments, and joints which typically have little blood flow and thus heal more slowly. It has also been shown to positively affect the rate of healing in the muscle, skin, and eyes.

TB 500 and BPC 157 show promise and popularity in combined use. They promote similar healing effects in the body, but they work through different mechanisms, causing synergy. The combined effects of BPC 157 and TB 500 would be more powerful than either used in isolation for anti-inflammatory effects, angiogenesis, healing, and recovery.

TB 500 has been clinically shown since studies conducted in the late 1990’s to be very effective for healing and tissue regeneration. Additionally, it appears to exert anti-fibrotic effects. Fibrosis is scar tissue that can build up in various body tissues and organs following injury – whether chronic or acute injury.

During research investigation, it was noticed that TB 500 improved hair growth, hair quality, and hair color. This application needs further research, but it is a highly desirable effect with a large audience of people that stand to potentially benefit from this effect alone. Thus far studies show that TB 500 helps regenerate and strengthen existing hair follicles as it’s primary mechanism of action for hair growth benefits.

What TB 500 Side Effects Are There?

Thymosin Beta-4 does not appear to have any significant side effects based on available studies. This is highly encouraging for further clinical research since the potential applications are so broad.

Please be sure to only buy high quality TB 500 which is available online for research purposes.
